The original band was established in 1956 . A group of 22 Nobles became the charter members. That first year, The newly formed Sting Band was asked to play for the annual East-West Shrine game in Norfolk, Virginia.  Since that original trip, the band has appeared in Chicago, Miami Beach, Washington, D.C., San Francisco, Baltimore, Atlantic City, Virginia Beach, Birmingham, and Ithaca.

They also have appeared in numerous towns within Item Temple's jurisdiction including Wilkes-Barre, Scranton, Stroudsburg, Wellsburo, Lewisburg, Montrose, Towanda and in Williamsport for the Little League World Series Parade to name a few.

The outfits worn by the all important Strutters are made by the same company that provides the costumes for the Mummer's parade in Philadelphia.

The String Band is always looking for new musicians, and Strutters; so come on out!
